Charlotte Pipe PVC-08107-4000 2" x 1-1/2" PVC SCH80 Bushing - Spigot x Socket

Charlotte Pipe PVC-08107-4000 is a 2" x 1-1/2" PVC Schedule 80 bushing, Spigot x Socket (Spigot = spigot (pipe-size end that fits into a hub or socket); Socket = socket (takes the pipe)).

A bushing threads into a larger female fitting to reduce it: male thread outside, smaller female thread inside.

Schedule 80 PVC fittings are the heavy-wall pressure fittings, made to ASTM D2467 and grey to tell them apart from Schedule 40. The thicker wall gives a higher pressure capacity and allows threaded connections, which is why Schedule 80 is used on industrial, process and commercial pressure lines. Like all PVC, they are limited to 140°F.
