MrPEX Systems 4617575 is a 3/4" composite PEX coupling with ASTM F1960 expansion connections.

A coupling joins two lengths of PEX tubing in a straight line, for extending runs or repairing a damaged section. Both ends take 3/4" PEX.

F1960 expansion fittings are used with PEX-a tubing and PEX expansion rings: the tubing and ring are expanded, the fitting is inserted, and the PEX shrinks back to form the seal. Composite fittings are a non-metallic alternative to brass for the same expansion system. Match the fitting size and expansion ring to the tubing, and follow local code and the tubing maker's installation instructions.
