The Caleffi 546169A is a 2" DISCAL DIRTMAG air and dirt separator with magnet and press union connections. It removes air, dirt and magnetic iron particles from closed-loop hydronic heating and cooling systems in a single device.

DISCAL DIRTMAG units combine two functions: an internal element that releases entrained air and microbubbles through the automatic air vent on top, and a dirt collection chamber with a removable magnet that traps dirt and ferrous particles. Debris is flushed out through the bottom drain valve. Installing one unit in place of a separate air separator and dirt separator saves space and fittings in boiler rooms and mechanical rooms.

Before ordering, confirm the 2" press union connection; see the technical data sheet for pressure and temperature limits. Size the separator to the pipe size of the main line where it will be installed.
