The Caleffi 546198A is a 1-1/2" DISCAL DIRTMAG air and dirt separator with magnet and sweat union connections. It removes air, dirt and magnetic iron particles from closed-loop hydronic heating and cooling systems in a single device.

DISCAL DIRTMAG units combine two functions: an internal element that releases entrained air and microbubbles through the automatic air vent on top, and a dirt collection chamber with a removable magnet that traps dirt and ferrous particles. Debris is flushed out through the bottom drain valve. Installing one unit in place of a separate air separator and dirt separator saves space and fittings in boiler rooms and mechanical rooms.
