Description
SharkBite PVA20M-DUSB-60 is a 1" EB45 double union pressure regulating valve (PRV) with PTC x PTC connections.
This lead-free bronze valve reduces incoming water pressure to protect plumbing and appliances. It is set at 60 PSI, adjustable from 10 to 70 PSI, for cold or hot water up to 180 degrees F, and the manufacturer lists it as tamper-resistant and compatible with 1" copper, PEX, CPVC or PE-RT pipe.
A pressure regulator is normally installed after the main line to protect the system, so confirm the pipe type and the 1" size before ordering. Check the incoming pressure with a gauge and consider whether thermal expansion needs to be addressed once a regulator closes the system.
