Moen 9700 is an M-Pact 2-handle wallmount lavatory faucet rough-in valve with 1/2 in. CC connections.

M-Pact is Moen's common valve system, in which the rough-in valve stays in the wall and a compatible trim is installed on top. The trim style or finish can then be changed later without opening the wall. The 9700 is the valve for 2-handle wall-mounted lavatory faucets, used with vessel sinks or wall-hung basins.

The 1/2 in. CC connections sweat onto copper supply lines. Set the valve at the depth and height given in Moen's instructions, and buy the matching trim separately.
