Sioux Chief 645WG4P is a 1" F1960 expansion x 1" PVC (F1970) straight adapter in no-lead (NL/DZR) brass with a PVC socket.

Sioux Chief lists it for cold water applications only and suggests it for hooking up PEX underground water service lines to PVC in-house piping. The PVC socket is sized for Schedule 40 PVC pipe to ASTM D1785. F1960 joints are cold-expansion connections: the tube is expanded, the fitting inserted, and the PEX shrinks back onto it. With PowerPEX Type-B tube, Sioux Chief recommends a self-rotating power expansion tool.

Match the connection standard (F1807 crimp, F1960 expansion or F2159 poly crimp) to the PEX tube, rings and tools already on the job before ordering.
