Sioux Chief 652-AWG is a HydraRester water hammer arrester, size A, with a 1/2" PEX F1960 expansion connection.

HydraRester arresters absorb the pressure spike (water hammer) created when quick-closing valves shut off, such as those on washing machines, dishwashers and flush valves. Size A is rated for 1-11 fixture units, following the ANSI/ASSE 1010 sizing system; pick the size from the fixture-unit load of the branch it protects.

The arrester is certified by ASSE to ANSI/ASSE 1010, lifetime cycle tested to withstand 10,000 shock cycles, and can be installed at any angle without an access panel.
